The Challenge
Our client’s goal was to improve, harmonize, and simplify business and IT processes on a global scale through a digital transformation. The luxury goods group initiated a global SAP S/4HANA™ program with rollouts to Europe, North America, and APAC. The client was facing difficulty locating the correct resources due to the small market for such niche skill sets, so they chose Oxford Global Resources to help ensure that the right skills were available for the complex digital transformation.

The Solution
We sourced over 21 consultants including an Application Developer, Technical Integration Expert, CAR SME, Master Data Consultant, Test Manager, FIORI™ and HANA SME, Release Manager, FICO™ Expert, SQL Data Migration Expert, FMS Expert, Oracle™ Supply Chain Consultant, and a Test Coordinator. These consultants helped implement several innovative new SAP tools and modules such as SAP HANA Database, SAP S/4HANA Finance (formerly SAP Simple Finance), SAP Customer Activity Repository (CAR), and SAP Fashion Management Solution (FMS). Other essential areas were also supported, including e-invoicing, FIORI, data migration, and change management.

Due to the size of the digital transformation, many gaps formed in project teams that needed to be filled quickly. We were able to provide suitable experts, often within 48 hours, that ensured the project progressed as planned.

We also provided legacy system support in Japan in anticipation of the SAP S/4HANA rollout.

The Result
The new system has and will continue to create greater efficiencies and outcomes for the client overall. For example, a successful pilot go-live in Italy has made a dramatic impact on stock management and cohesion between different departments. Prior to go-live, the client had experienced duplication and disappearance of stock in their database. This has been resolved with the new system.
